Government Polytechnic, Kalahandi at Paramanandapur is functioning under the administrative control of DTE&T, Odisha and SD&TE Department, Govt. of Odisha. It was inagurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister Sj. Naveen Pattanaik on dated 14^th February 2014. It is affiliated to SCTE&VT, Odisha and approved by AICTE, New Delhi for awarding Three Year Diploma in 03 branches of Engineering i.e. Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering having 60 intake each. It is located besides State Highway No. 21 from Kalahandi to Bhanjanagar at a distance of 24Kms from District Headquarters Kalahandi.

The Institution has an excellent infrastructure in terms of equipment, buildings, experienced and qualified faculties and a vast campus developed over 10 acres of land in a panoromic scenic beauty of natural rural environment.
